Veggie Bean Burger with Sautéed Mushrooms


  • 1 package Daiya Swiss Style Slices
  • 4 of your favorite bean burgers
  • 4 gluten-free buns
  • 1 White onion
  • 1 8 ounce package of mushrooms
  • 4 leaves romaine lettuce
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • plant-based butter
  • salt, to taste
  • pepper, to taste


Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Add sliced white onions, season with salt and pepper to taste. Stir frequently until onions become translucent, about 5 minutes.

Add mushrooms to the pan. Remove from heat once cooked through, about 5-10 minutes.

Place your favorite bean burger on the grill, and cook according to package instructions.

Spread plant-based butter on the bun and toast on the grill while the burger is cooking.

Once the burger is cooked, top it with Daiya Swiss Style Slices until melted.

Remove the burger and bun from the grill, assemble and top with lettuce, sauteed onions and sauteed mushrooms.

Add your favorite condiments and enjoy!
